The Neue Galerie offers internship opportunities to qualified applicants on a full-time basis.

General Internships

Internships are awarded year-round for periods of at least three months. They are not specialized but will give the intern an opportunity to become familiar with all departments of the museum. Responsibilities focus on general administration, including answering the phone, handling correspondence, as well as maintaining mailing and RSVP lists. Depending on individual interest and aptitude, interns may assist with aspects of curatorial research, exhibitions management, and public relations. A minimum of four days per week is required. Proficiency in German and a background in art history are preferred.

General internships are unpaid, however, the Neue Galerie provides a monthly Metrocard for in-city transportation.

Applicants should submit the following information:

    • Cover letter
    • Résumé (specifying any foreign language knowledge)
    • Dates of availability

Please send all materials to:
