How does one experience the art and culture of previous times? What are the formal criteria which span a period of ten years and are therefore decisive for the decade? Is there something valid that has characterized this epoch? And what has come down to us, in our memories, of this?

For the first time an attempt is made not only to describe the diversity of possibilities for styles within a particular decade, but also to make these visible within the areas of architecture, interior design, handicrafts and fine arts.

Wie nimmt man Kunst und Kultur vergangener Zeiten wahr? Welches sind die formalen Kriterien, die einen Zeitraum von zehn Jahren umfassen und dafuer bestimmend sind?  Gibt es etwas Gueltiges, das diese Epoche gepraegt hat?  Und was ist uns davon in Erinnerung geblieben?

Zum ersten Mal wird der Versuch unternommen, die Vielfaeltigkeit der Gestaltungsmoeglichkeiten, die Einrichtung, das Kunstgerwerbe und die bildende Kunst sichtbar zu machen.
