What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing web content. Using an RSS reader, you can view new feeds from a number of different internet sources in one convenient location, without having to visit every website you took the feed from. Your subscription to the RSS feed will provide you with updates about upcoming exhibitions, programs, and special offers in the museum shops.

What is an RSS reader?
RSS/News aggregators (also called readers) are applications that download and display RSS feeds for you. Many readers are separate, “stand-alone” programs, while others will let you add RSS feeds to a web page. A number of free and commercial readers are available for download online.
