Through her lyrical ceramic work, Eva Zeisel (1906-2011) combined organic forms with modernist ideas. She designed more than 100,000 objects in the course of her illustrious career. Her designs were a reflection of a strong independent character. Zeisel was trained in her native Hungary, and continued to produce superior work for decades. The Neue Galerie is proud of its association with this legendary designer.
